The lights will go green as early as October 2020 when DIRT 5 is first released for Windows PC (Steam), Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A version for Google Stadia is scheduled to be released in early 2021, with the next-gen consoles Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 following the respective timeline.
DiRT 5 takes you to different regions of the world, from cities like New York or Rio to off-road slopes in Greece or China. This is where aggressive races take place in a variety of vehicle classes – from buggies to trucks to rock bouncers, as well as classic and modern rally cars.
On board is a career mode with numerous events and challenges as well as prominent speakers like Nolan North and Troy Baker. The most extensive editor of all DIRT games so far is said to offer numerous customization options. The game progress in DIRT 5 is non-linear and enables players to take part in several of their favorite events. There is also a split-screen mode for up to four players, with other game modes to be announced in the next few weeks.
