Dirt 5 players can look forward to launching some new content on July 20 next week.
More cars, tracks, activities and more playground options are coming soon Dirt 5.
It is part of Super Size Content Pack, Update 5.00 and Parts Unknown Playgrounds Update.
The first new free track to join the game will be Brazil’s San Conrado and Rio Riviera. The layout of the two is slightly different, which is very suitable for off-road machines. These tracks and their reverse variants can be used in Arcade mode with all customizable weather conditions. Both are used for multiple events in the new career chapter and can be selected in the online private lobby.
The oversized content pack will be equipped with four off-road vehicles, one of which is a Bentley Continental GT Ice Race Car. There are also Armada Rock Racer, Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Baja concept car and Rezvani Tank.
This pack also further expands the career mode with 27 additional events. Each car category featuring four new cars has its own characteristics, as are the new San Conrado track and activities using the new playground project. In addition, a time trial event was created for the new career chapter.
Two other sponsors are also included: Toblerone and Power Maxed. Both can sign and receive exclusive rewards, including paintings, by completing goals. The oversized content pack also contains more customized items such as stickers, lanyards and more patterns.
This package is included in Dirt 5 Amplified Edition or Year One Edition. Owners of the standard edition can purchase the package from the digital store.
There is also an update of Parts Unknown Playgrounds, which is inspired by classic sci-fi concepts and decorative arts. This pack contains more than 20 new objects that can be used in all event types (door crashes, playgrounds, smash attacks) in creation mode. There are new ramps and parts to encourage wall riding, as well as space age-themed props and decorations. Free for all players, it also includes the Area 51 location option when designing custom venues with multiple weather conditions and different times of the day.
Update 5.00 will include real-world camouflage for five more cars. In addition, BMW M2 Competition, Citroen C3 R5, Fiat Abarth 124 Rally, Porsche 911 RGT and Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia have also been added, all players can use for free.
In Playgrounds, the team implemented more ways to compete and earn rewards based on community feedback. You should pay attention to the weekly events in the “Featured” area of the “Discover” menu. There will be a new challenge every 7 days and in-game rewards will be issued based on your global leaderboard position at the end of the event.
Update 5.00 will also bring more technical adjustments and improvements. Five other achievements/trophies will be added, and PlayStation 5 players will feel more tactile feedback from the DualSense controller. These enhancements will ensure that you notice changes in traction on different surfaces, feel the brake trigger when decelerating, you will feel shifting gears and so on. The team also further improved the game’s use of the PS5 3D audio function.
More details will be provided in the patch notes, which will be released close to the content release.
