Dishonored 3 may never see the light of day, but now WolfEye Studios, composed of Arkane veterans to whom we owe this cult license, has unveiled a worthy and promising successor.
This new game from the original creators of Dishonored was announced yesterday by Raphael Colantonio, licensing director and founder of WolfEye Studios, so we won’t have to wait long for an official announcement that should make fans of this infiltration/immersive first-person sim license, which today takes on a legendary character, salivate.
Dishonored finally has a worthy spiritual successor
It’s been seven years since Dishonored 2 was released. Despite a great critical response, Arkane Studios was unfortunately unable to cover its costs with this title, so the license was unfortunately abandoned. Even more recently, Arkane Austin (Prey, Redfall) was unfortunately closed by Microsoft. At the same time, Raphael Colantonio, veteran of this renowned studio and licensing director, founded WolfEye Studios. This initially stood out with the very good and original Weird West, an immersive simulation in isometric view that mixes Far West and dark fantasy.
Here comes the new game from this talented studio that was sold to us yesterday with the justification that it could “ Make Dishonored and Prey fans happy “. If it doesn’t have a name yet, we’re at least entitled to a few images, as well as a short teaser. This is a pretty strong nod to Dishonored, then, with a deliciously dark, artistic retro sci-fi direction. We also know it will be a single-player first-person game. This potentially sounds like an unnamed Dishonored 3.
A promising title that some lucky people will dare to try
To create even more excitement, WolfEye Studios indicates that it will soon be possible to test it through a private alpha. To try this promising title on paper, you must register on the studio’s official website, indicated in the source below. Of course, it’s still far too early for a release date. However, we can bet that this spiritual successor to Dishonored will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series in a more or less near retro sci-fi future.
