Disney Lorcana is planning a 2024 full of new maps, and we even had a reassuring statement. Get ready to expand your collection.
Trading cards have been a real institution for many years. When we say that, we naturally think of Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh. However, they are not the only ones playing this game. This also applies to Disney Lorcana and its tickets, which are often sold out. Either way, the publisher has a great announcement for fans looking forward to the coming months. And it affects several extensions.
A year 2024 that promises to be crazy for Disney Lorcana
Disney Lorcana was an undeniable success in 2023. The phenomenon is likely to continue in 2024, and that is Ravensburger’s plan. This year, not one, not two, not three, but four expansions will be released. Just that. There is one that has already been featured and it is called “Les Terres d’Encres” (Into the Inklands in English). The latter will go on sale on March 8, 2024, with a preview scheduled for February 23. For the rest you will have to wait a bit, but the dates are usually two months apart.
However, an important question remains unanswered. If you enjoyed Disney Lorcana, you’ve surely experienced the 2023 ticket shortage. Ravensburger sometimes plans new batches, but this does not happen systematically. That’s why Filip Francke, one of the company’s thought leaders, wants to change that. He wants to make sure this doesn’t happen again in future expansions. He hasn’t given a specific strategy, but at least he seems confident in what he’s proposing. One thing is certain: the game’s popularity is not going to decrease any time soon.
Disney Lorcana has been well received by players, collectors and fans around the world and we are very grateful for the support. It has proven to be a fantastic entry point for new players into the trading card game and we will continue to do everything we can to make the product available at an attractive price.
Customer feedback and industry data confirm our belief that this game is here to stay for a very long time.
