Disney Speedstorm enters early access on April 18

Disney’s bear Mario Kart, Disney Speedstormfinally launching into Early Access next month, April 18.

Those of you who regularly play Mario Kart and feel like there aren’t enough cartoon mice to represent capitalism will be happy to hear that Disney Speedstorm is coming, as the game’s official Twitter announced that you’ll be heading to the track starting April 18. The game will Available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and will be free to play at full launch, but early access will require purchasing one of the game’s Founder’s Packs.

The standard Founder’s Pack is the cheapest way to get early access, but it’s clearly less cost-effective the other way around. With this pack, you get access to Early Access, unlocking Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and a racer of your choice – plus several exclusive Founding Member sets for Mickey, Donald, and any racer of your choice Racing suits. And the usual on-site perks like 4000 tokens (in-game currency) and some Gold Pass credits.

The Deluxe Founder’s Pack contains all of these, plus unlocking Mulan as a race and 7000 credits. The Ultimate Founder’s Pack gets you more tokens, extra Gold Pass points, some exclusive kart parts, and Captain Jack and Hercules as extra races.

Game manager Aska Suzuki said in a release: “We’re eager for fans to start their engines by joining us on the Disney Speedstorm track throughout the Early Access period, and race through stunning racetracks inspired by Disney and Pixar movies. Disney Speedstorm is coming to early access on April 18, but there’s no release date for the full release yet.
