Marvel Studios opens the floodgates for its future Disney+ series with a short teaser for the upcoming Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda project. A different work than the two films while waiting for the conclusion of the trilogy and perhaps other feature films.
We know when all the next big Marvel series will appear on Disney+. If the majority have to wait until next year, the animated series What If…? will return at the end of the year. The new episodes that will be responsible for closing this chapter of Marvel will be available from December 22, 2024. But other projects are already on the SVOD platform’s calendar, such as the very first Black Panther series.
The Black Panther series “Eyes of Wakanda” can be seen
If Marvel Studios hasn’t given up on the idea by now, there should be a Black Panther 3. Letitia Wright, Shuri’s actress, has already pointed this out several times. “I think it’s already underway.” She stated in 2023 and reiterated that a sequel would take some time. With a bit of luck, the young woman will reprise her role as Shuri in the Disney+ animated series Eyes of Wakanda. Ryan Coogler, the director of the first two Black Panthers, returns as a producer on this project.
Additionally, Todd Harris, an artist who worked on Deadpool 2, Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is also part of the team and is expected to direct the episodes from the animated series Black Panther. Finally, and this is excellent given the appreciation of “What If…?”, artistic director Bryan Andrews is also on board. We have learned that the Black Panther animated series Eyes of Wakanda will be released on Disney+ on August 6, 2025. And it looks promising if we rely on the short excerpts from the trailer below.
