The role-playing game Divinity: Original Sin gets a general overhaul. The Mod Divinity Unleashed has been in development for two years, tweaking the depths of the game mechanics, to show the RPG from a whole new side – also for fans who are not traveling to Rivellon for the first time.
The game at Larian Studios, which is currently working on Baldur's Gate 3, revived beloved role-playing traditions in 2017, but also came around the corner with creative new ideas. After its original release, it was nominated for numerous awards and even won the highest award for "Best Game of the Year" at GameStars. Now fans have developed a mod with which they dissected and re-assembled the mechanics of Divinity: Original Sin 2 with great attention to detail.
What is Divinity Unleashed?
The fan mod primarily deals with the combat mechanics of Divinity: Original Sin 2 and give her a new touch. Sometimes it goes into great detail. She especially appeals to hardcore roleplayers who enjoy digging into the Divinity rules and taking a close look at each value and using it to their advantage.
You don't have to be afraid to sit in front of page-long tables with numbers. The developers of the mod explain in their documentation easily understandable which detail aspects have been adapted and how they affect your gaming experience. The creators praised Divinity Unleashed as "a solid base with which players can simply sit back and play their game or continue to mod to perfection".
The changes to the basic game Divinity: Original Sin 2 include:
- Perfect balancing: The revision of all inaccuracies in balancing now allows fair battles with all types of builds.
- Freedom in builds: The builds have also been refreshed so that you have more freedom than ever before when building your character. In addition, the character progress is now easy to understand and understand.
- Faster fights: Effects that cause you to skip moves have been reduced to bring more momentum to combat.
- New skills: Most of the time, the abilities were only used for maximum damage. Now completely new skills have been added to make the choice more interesting – for example, several skills that reduce your cooldown time.
- Armor revision: The decision, often criticized by fans, to separate armor and life points from each other has been annulled here. The armor now acts simply as damage reduction for your life points.

The Mod Divinity Unleashed can be found in the Steam workshop. The required script can easily be downloaded from the link downloaded and then placed in the Steam folder of Divinity: Original Sin 2 become. You already experience the role play in a new guise. You can find the folder in the file path:
