Today, Division 2 has received a major update.
2nd Division At the time of writing, the server is down and requires three hours of maintenance to prepare for the release of the 8.4 patch. The server should be back online by 4:30 AM EST, 7:30 AM EST, 11:30 AM UK.
This is the first patch since the expansion of the New York Warlord, and the first patch since the launch of the new Seasonal Manhunt system. The update makes some adjustments to this and brings some balance changes to reduce the punishment of combat in high-level and large groups.
Seasonal Manhunt players will now progress on Normal difficulty and above, which allows anyone on the team to make progress, regardless of the difficulty the team leader chooses. Changing the difficulty will no longer reset the progress, there is now a specific button to reset the "Seasonal Manhunt" progress.
As for balance, the patch is reducing NPC damage in all respects. This also applies to group scaling, which means that enemies will no longer overcompensate for group size due to increased HP and damage. Looking ahead, enemy HP and armor values will be determined based on difficulty. Heroes and legends are two exceptions. Enemies will have more health and armor, but only to compensate for the decline in group size.
Read the following for the biggest changes:
Gameplay changes
- Seasonal hunting has been changed to allow progress on Normal difficulty and above. Regardless of the difficulty set by the team leader, this will allow all members to progress and make the game easier.
- Seasonal Manhunt receives a button in the Manhunt UI that allows players to reset Manhunt to replay it. This allows players to specifically reset their progress without changing the global difficulty.
- This also means that changing the global difficulty does not reset seasonal hunting, and players need to reset it through the seasonal hunting UI.
- The coyote's mask will drop from the coyote, and the chance to drop on higher difficulty will increase.
- We are also considering providing a mask for players who have not received even after reaching season 35.
- To align the quality of rewards for the following Open World events with other events, including public execution, reconciliation blockades and promotional broadcasts.
- The reward cache in the highest-level conflict matches now has high-end quality.
Balance change
- Reduces all difficult NPC damage output.
- This applies to all NPCs and activities, and the enemy does less damage to the player compared to the current damage output.
- Reduce the "health" and "Amor" of NPCs to increase the size of the group.
- Based on experience, adjusted for enemy health and armor levels for groups of 2, 3 and 4 people.
- This means that the red, veteran, elite, and famous enemies have lower health and armor compared to their current values.
- In addition, we are adjusting health and armor according to the difficulty of the activity.
- This applies to difficult and challenging difficulties where the enemy's health and armor are lower than their current values.
- Enemies on Heroic difficulty and Legendary difficulty are an exception. Their health and armor will increase to compensate for the proportionally reduced value of the group.
Black ivory-specific changes
- Reduced war dog life.
- Reduced damage from War Dog Snipers.
- Reduced the damage of the 360 hounds of the Battle Hound Microcomputer.
