Everything points to the fact that we will unfortunately never be entitled to a new Dishonored. But this upcoming title seems to pay a nice tribute that should please fans.
That’s at least the view of Raphael Colantonio, founder of WolfEye Studios, who, for the record, also founded Arkane Studios. The man seems ideally suited to take up the torch after killing this iconic first-person infiltration/immersive sim license. Although the title in question hasn’t been officially announced yet, it’s said that it “should make fans of Dishonored and Prey happy.” Let’s take a closer look.
A new game from a Dishonored veteran that should be worth checking out
At the end of June last year we already told you about Alkahest, a title developed by Push On that draws inspiration from Dishonored or even Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Seven years after a critically acclaimed second opus with disappointing sales, the Arkane Studios license still seems to have influence over promising future games that needy fans should keep an eye on. This is the case from the outset with the new game from WolfEye Studios, founded by none other than the founder of Arkane Studios, Raphael Colantonio.
On his official X.com account, the man teased us with a statement we want to believe about the next project from his studio. We will be revealing our next game in a few days. Fans of the first-person games I worked on (Dishonored and Prey) will be delighted “. Let us also remember that he also worked on Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah, which would also have influenced the future game in question.
Last we heard, we knew that WolfEye Studios was developing a sci-fi RPG. Whether this title, mixed with the Dishonored teased by its founder, is the same or a completely different project has yet to be determined, however. With Gamescom opening its doors in Cologne, Germany starting August 20, we can bet we’ll find out during that convention, which definitely promises to be full of big announcements.
