Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League isn’t quite dead yet. Rocksteady has just confirmed the first season date, with a new playable character as a bonus.
The Suicide Squad consisting of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark will soon welcome a new member. The first season of Rocksteady’s service game is coming very soon: March 28th. Let’s see what the British studio has in store for us.
Suicide Squad: The Deadly Joke
It’s an unfortunate fact that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had a complicated start. The press was unconvinced by Rocksteady’s proposal in the controversial world of service games, and neither were the players. Just over a month after its release, the title is virtually abandoned. Publisher Warner Bros. Games is obviously very disappointed with the sales figures. The error is mainly attributed to disastrous optimization and a very low variety of activities and missions. Was the project dead before its release due to the very poor response? In any case, things don’t look particularly good for the long-term survival of the game.
The game’s first season could therefore prove to be a lifeline, especially with the arrival of the Joker as a playable character. Its gameplay, based around a flying umbrella and prank gadgets, could put a smile back on Suicide Squad’s face. In addition, new activities will be added in a new environment. All of this is expected on March 28th for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. As such, Rocksteady has pointed out that the Epic Games Store version of the game is slightly behind schedule. It will finally arrive on March 26th, just before Season 1. In the meantime, the studio doesn’t plan any further patches. However, the game really needs it. But you have to believe that the Suicide Squad likes to live dangerously.
