Game news DokeV: According to Pearl Abyss, we haven’t seen anything of the open world!

Announced by Pearl Abyss in 2019 and presented for the first time at gamescom last August, DokeV is located at the interface between Pokémon, Genshin Impact and a sandbox life simulation. Technically conspicuously presented, the world could be much bigger than one imagined.

DokeV is a Action-adventure game mixed with RPG mechanicsin which players move through a large open world. In this universe People meet creatures called Dokebi, inspired by Dokkaebi from Korean mythology. Born out of dreams, they accompany people and fight for them as long as they become friends. The goal will therefore be Explore this world, collect these creatures, do a lot of activities, face bosses, but also fight against society, which Dokebis uses to develop powerful AI.

An open world that should be huge!

Obviously inspired by Pokémon, DokeV wants to be much more successful technically, bigger and more diverse in terms of side activities and interactions. However, in order to bring such an open world to life, you first need to create a large enough playing area. And so much to say that the open world promises to be gigantic. The game developers, through our colleagues from MGG, point out that by observing all of the videos broadcast so far, we have only seen 10% of what the universe is made up of of the title. They also state that we didn’t see a single big city, but two very different metropolises on the island.

To get around this, therefore, patience is required and Do not hesitate to use the many modes of transport that are made available to us. Llamas, skateboards, jet skis and vehicles of all kinds should make it easier to come and go. Pearl Abyss has talked a lot about the game mechanics, but recently pointed out that DokeV have a day / night cycle, dynamic weather, or different seasons.

The whole thing will obviously have an impact on the activities and creatures you encounter, however Details on this topic and the economic model are still pending. At the moment we don’t know the release date of the title, but we do know it will be released. on PC, PS5 and Xbox series.
