If you want to see Final Fantasy 16 in Tokyo Game Show Later this year, we have some bad news for you: Square Enix doesn’t seem to be ready to show off.

In the special live broadcast of “Final Fantasy 14” on Friday, Naoki Yoshida, the director of “Final Fantasy 14” and producer of “Final Fantasy 16”, explained that the developer hopes to show more upcoming games at the Tokyo Game Show. , But may not be able to meet the development deadline (by Aitai Kimchi And silica gel).

“We really want to show something for the Tokyo Game Show in 2021, but we may not be able to finish it before the deadline… Of course we want to show it, but if we do, you can play it immediately afterwards Isn’t it better??

“I personally don’t like to post a small piece of information to attract people. I discussed this with the team and the director, Mr. Takai. We want to reveal that some people will say,’I want to play now! Release it now! We can answer,’ Of course, here you are!'”

The show runs from September 30th to October 3rd and is usually an important event for Japanese developers who are eager to showcase their new games. But as Covid-19 affects development all over the world and causes delays in many projects, it is not surprising that Final Fantasy 16 is also affected.

However, Square Enix clearly wants to show off the game. But the staff were not satisfied with showing the game again before reaching a certain level of quality.

“I know that as a company, they want us to at least show it on TGS,” Yoshida pointed out. “Development is going well. It’s hard to ensure that the quality is amazing. We hope that the next announcement is for everyone to say, “I want to buy this game!” “To this end, we have put in a lot of effort to ensure high quality.”

Don’t expect to see this game later this year. Yoshida’s slow and steady approach is not surprising. We heard in February that Square Enix intended to block “Final Fantasy 16”

As early as September 2020, we saw the trailer for “Final Fantasy 16”, and since then, Square Enix has remained silent on almost everything related to the title.
