Helldiver 2’s democratic space station may be a bit problematic right now, as its orbital gunfire has been blasting away as many Helldivers as robots and bugs, but there’s good news. Arrowhead said they are working on the case and have just put in place an interim measure to help while they seek an appropriate resolution.
As a major galactic war, DSS had high expectations. So hopefully this means that after the initial wave of positive reviews, the wave of negative reviews from divers will cause DSS to become a good thing again.

As part of the effort to make this change, Arrowhead has just announced “temporary DSS enhancements” via Twitter. The report reads: “During the active period of tactical planetary bombardment operations, High Command has authorized an increase in Helllurker equipment to mitigate the unexpected and dramatic increase in hero sacrifice.
“This is a temporary change while a full evaluation of the optimal number of sacrifices is ongoing. Please see the DSS interface on the Galaxy Map for more details.”

Shortly before this temporary measure was announced, Arrowhead community manager Twinbeard admitted in a response to player inquiries on Helldivers 2’s Discord server that the studio was aware of the issue and was looking into what action should be taken regarding DSS.
“Having tested it and I don’t think it’s too much pressure, it’s better to acknowledge the fact that the first version of DSS wasn’t as successful as we were,” they wrote in a response. “I’m sure we’ll learn from this.” And it’s constantly being improved, there’s a lot of discussion going on right now, and this is not the end of DSS. Adjust and develop. “
