Good news everyone: Noah Hawley, producer of the upcoming series alien Prequel series, no plans acknowledged Prometheus in the show.
Overall, Prometheus is just a slightly silly movie. It removes too much of the mystery from the original Alien and structurally just revisits already-familiar territory. Alien fans would rather ignore it, and in a recent interview with KCRW’s Business Podcast (via The Hollywood Reporter ), Hawley basically said he planned to do just that. “To me and to many people, this ‘perfect life form’ – as depicted in the first film – is the product of millions of years of evolution, creating this ‘perfect life form’ that has probably existed for a hundred Thousands of years of living things in space,” Hawley said.

“To the extent that it’s a bioweapon that was created half an hour ago, that inherently doesn’t do anything to me. The scary thing about this monster in terms of mythology is that when you watch the first two movies, you There’s this retro-futuristic technology. You have giant computer monitors, these weird keyboards… You have to make a choice. Do I do this?
“Because in the prequels, Ridley made technology thousands of years more advanced than what was in Alien, and that’s supposed to take place in the future of those movies. It doesn’t really matter to me. I prefer the retro-first two The futurism of movies. That’s the choice I made – no holograms. I couldn’t enjoy the convenience of the beautiful technology in the Apple Store.”
Hawley’s currently untitled Alien film is set to film early this year, but an exact release date has yet to be confirmed. Sidney Chandler (Don’t Worry Darling) will star as Wendy, with Timothy Olyphant and Alex Lawther (Andor) as soldiers CJ and Samuel Boo Renkin (“Black Mirror”) plays the boy Cavalier, among other actors. CEO Essie Davis (The Babadook) stars as Lady Sylvia, Adarsh Gourav (The White Tiger) stars as Slattery, and Kit Young (The Shadow and the Bones”) as Tootles.
Alien fans can also look forward to new films in the series, as 20th Century Studios is also developing Alien: Romulus, which will sit between “Alien” and 1986’s “Alien” and will be released next year in August. Released on May 16th.
