The new shooter DOOM Eternal was only officially released on Friday, but the new title of the id software cult series has already won over numerous players.

With DOOM Eternal, id Software and Bethesda Softworks bring the long-standing and iconic shooter series back to PC and consoles. The newest part of the franchise has only been available since Friday, but has obviously caught a tailor-made start and put it off.
Although there are no concrete sales figures yet, initial surveys on the PC platform Steam already testify to the high number of players. At the top, 105,000 players battled the monsters from the Hell Gates at the same time on Steam alone, so the sales figures should at least be slightly higher than this value – mind you, only on the PC. At the same time, the new part has already tripled the peak value of simultaneous players from the previous DOOM from 2016.
DOOM Eternal has reached nearly 105,000 concurrent players today on Steam
This is over 3x the all-time concurrent peak players for DOOM 2016
My forecast was DOOM Eternal would be the biggest Bethesda published launch since Fallout 4 in 2015. I remain very confident in that pic.twitter.com/wEuz9FTgjX
