GameStop customers report that their pre-orders for Doom Eternal on the Switch have been canceled. Is the version no longer coming after the long delay? The answer is “No, but …”
On the Internet, reports are piling up from customers whose pre-orders for the Switch version of Doom Eternal at GameStop have been canceled. There were already fears that porting would be discontinued. But the all-clear has been given. The reason for the cancellations is that GameStop will not get anything to ship. In short: Bethesda only put the physical version of the hellish shooter on hold and made the switch version a digital-only release.

Doom Eternal was released for other platforms in March, but like its predecessor, it had already been confirmed for Switch. After all versions were postponed, porting to the hybrid console was pushed back indefinitely.
