The first update to Doom Eternal is currently being developed by developer id Software. However, this is not yet the first DLC, but primarily technical improvements and changes to the balancing. In the meantime there is first information about the content of the update.
A new mechanism is called Empowered Demons. If a demon kills the slayer in the campaign, it gains strength and is transferred to another player's campaign. If he can kill the reinforced demon, he receives more experience points as well as additional life energy and ammunition.
The battlemode also undergoes various adjustments, including revisions to the tutorial, a display for the connection quality, denuvo anti-cheat features and so-called echelon leveling for players who have reached the maximum level in the battlemode. General balancing is also addressed: id software adjusts the vertical dash in the water as well as the damage caused by radioactivity. The Doom Eternal update should be available later this month.
