Id Software wants the skin in Doom Eternal to feel like a collectible toy.
As mentioned before, Eternal doom Seasonal style system through free battle passes. Levels can be unlocked by playing the main campaign and multiplayer games in campaign mode.
Over the course of a season, you will unlock weapon skins, skins of Doom (such as unicorn skins), and various demons encountered in Doom Eternal. The classic enemy Archvile can turn this skin into a fashionable one. A properly named "Master File" is one of the game's "Master Collection" items.
The different skins of Slayer and Demon are packed like toys, because id wants players to feel like a child when they open a gift on Christmas morning. The Master Collection is the top level, where you can find richer skin.
For Slayer, since all cutscenes are rendered in real time, you can see your choice in each cutscenes, not to mention the first person perspective when playing games.
The video also shows an ingenious mechanism that allows players to passively gain XP by adding other "booster" players they have recently encountered to their own progress. You can watch the full video above.
