The third season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its Battle Royale counterpart Warzone has just started. In addition to some obvious as well as some secret innovations, the developers continue to provide you with limited time events.
This weekend it’s time again, because from April 17th at 6:00 p.m. until April 20 at the same time you can generate double experience points. We'll tell you how it's done.

This is the most important information about the event
The Double XP event is only available this weekend and obviously reward you with double experience points. This is normal XP, not the specific weapon XP. These extra rewards apply to the following modes:
- Standard multiplayer
- Spec Ops Co-Op
- Warzone
Good opportunity for newcomers: So you have all sorts of opportunities to get an advantage in the new Battle Pass and to familiarize yourself with the Map Rotation, which was renewed in Season 3. The developers provide more information in the official patch notes. Newcomers in particular could certainly do a lot with the extreme boost at the beginning.
The XP Boost is likely to drive up the battle royale player numbers once again and may be an incentive for some players to buy the game. Warzone recently broke the 50 million player mark and even left one of its biggest competitors, EA's Apex Legends, far behind on Twitch.
