Dr Disrespect: For this absurd sum, he would switch to Kick

The Kick streaming platform is currently putting out a lot of offers to attract well-known names. Apparently former “face of Twitch”, Dr Disrespect, is also interested in a change of scenery.

In the international and German streamer scene, the Kick platform is on everyone’s lips. No wonder, because she’s currently making a lot of offers to numerous well-known content creators. It was only recently that the competitor and previous top dog Twitch was able to poach two huge personas with xQc and Amouranth – at absurd sums.

Now the next deal could be in the offing, but in that case YouTube would lose an important face. In a tweet, Dr Disrespect seemingly listed the amount he would consider switching to Kick for. A fat 50 million US dollars would therefore persuade him to find a new home for his streams.

Other people would go out of their minds at this amount, but in an interview, Kick CEO Ed Craven revealed that they are already in talks with the doc. “Personally, I’ve been a long-time fan of Dr Disrespect, as have I’m a huge fan of many other streamers. The chance to work with some of them is so freaking cool. And Doc would be one of them.”

Nothing is certain yet, but at the moment you are in talks with Disrespect, as well as with many other streamers. Kick definitely doesn’t seem to be lacking in money, for xQc the platform spent a whopping 100 million US dollars. The financing is largely provided by the gambling platform Stake.com, whose operators also founded Kick and pump up their Twitch competitors properly.

In the past, Dr Disrespect himself was considered the “face of Twitch” and liked to refer to himself as such, fitting his arrogant fictional character. However, he was kicked off the platform in mid-2020 for unknown reasons and subsequently found a new home on YouTube. We will see how long it continues.
