Dragon Age 4 should appeal to fans of character creation

Age, appeal, character, Creation, Dragon, Fans

Slowly but surely, Dragon Age 4 continues to reveal all it has to offer, including a feature that is very popular in RPGs and shows great promise here.

Finally officially unveiled after years of waiting, Dragon Age 4: The Veilguard still kept many secrets under wraps. It is mainly thanks to previews like ours or those of our colleagues that the BioWare title expected this fall is showing more. The latest details therefore focus on the character creation tool, an important functionality within the license. And that of the next opus should not disappoint.

Dragon Age 4 character creator reveals his face

Many RPGs allow us to create the character of our imagination, with many options in this direction. In recent times, it was the creator of Dragon’s Dogma 2 in particular that allowed the most imaginative people to create the most stylish/bizarre characters according to everyone’s imagination. The BioWare franchise has also excelled in this area and Dragon Age 4 should be no exception.

That’s something we can definitely learn once again from an article from our colleagues at Game Informer. Dragon Age 4’s character creation tool is said to offer “hundreds of options” for creating a custom avatar. Once that’s done (after hours of work for the most determined), you’ll have to choose between three classes: warrior, mage, or thief. Each class will then have its own three specializations, technically bringing the number of possible classes to nine.

Finally, to complete the creation of your character in Dragon Age 4, you must choose a faction. This will determine our initial outfit, as well as our origin and the specific characteristics of each one. One faction will significantly improve the reputation of our avatar for this one, to the detriment of another, and will allow us, among other things, to inflict more damage on a certain type of enemy. This part of the game therefore seems particularly complete. It remains to be seen if the more interventionist gameplay and anything but promising will prove to be true. Verdict this fall for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
