We haven’t heard anything about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf for a while now. A reason for concern? According to a renowned insider, the release will be finalized in 2024!
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is considered one of the biggest breakthroughs in the role-playing game genre, with BioWare finally continuing a long-standing series of successes. However, the game had been quiet for a while now, but according to a renowned insider, this shouldn’t be a cause for concern.
The usually very well-connected and informed Jeff Grubb has now taken up the game in a new edition Game Mess and emphasizes that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is still scheduled for a release “later in 2024”; There is still optimism and conviction within the development team in this regard.
BioWare last gave an official update in December 2023, when they announced a full presentation of the game for summer 2024; The in-house event EA Play remains a hot candidate for this. With this announcement, it became clear back then that a rumor from the summer of 2023 would probably not come true: According to Grubb, the planning at the time envisaged a possible publication in the summer of 2024. However, it is unlikely that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will actually be released in this time slot very soon after the launch and without a great marketing campaign.
It is more likely that the summer presentation will be followed by a release in autumn 2024 – after all, the busiest time for sales for video games. BioWare and EA could position Dragon Age: Dreadwolf as one of the most important in-house titles for the holiday season.
The fact is that many of Jeff Grubb’s statements have proven to be accurate in the past. Whether he is also right about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf remains to be seen. We will keep you up to date!
