There’s a new, very short trailer Dragon Age: Dreadwolfthough fans of the series may be happy to hear a familiar voice.
Dragon Age Day is usually a fan event, but yesterday (December 4) the annual celebration had something extra: a teaser trailer that also happens to be Dragon Age: The Dreadwolf’s in-game movie. A welcome addition to a fan-led campaign that also aimed (and succeeded!) to raise $15,000 for the Trans Empowerment project through Tiltify.
As far as the trailer has to offer, it’s a 2D, very nice cutscene featuring none other than the Dread Wolf himself, Solas, with narration by fan-favorite sidekick Varric Tethras. This is almost certainly some sort of setting for the game’s story, presumably early in the game. Essentially, it just goes to show that Solas is not only a sidekick character in Dragon Age: Inquisition, but also an elf god who caused some trouble.
A blog post from the Dreadwolf team about Dragon Age Day also reminded fans of Dragon Age: Absolution, which is coming to Netflix in a few days, and shared some character posters ahead of the show’s release. BioWare has also shared a new short story set in the world of Dragon Age, so if you like light reading, you can read As We Fly now.
Unfortunately for Dragon Age fans, there’s still not that much information to know when it comes to the Dread Wolf. The fourth game in the series was revealed in 2018, but didn’t get an official title until June of this year. A few Codex entries were also shared in October, so there’s some worldbuilding to collect, but we’ll have to wait a little longer to see the bigger stuff.
