Reviews for Dragon Age: Veiled Keeper went live yesterday ahead of its release later this week, which naturally sparked a lot of discussion from people who have already played the game and those who plan to play it. There’s some talk about Mass Effect, Bioware’s other beloved RPG series, with the developer currently leading work on the next game and deciding to outline some of the things it will be doing.
Bioware’s Michael Gamble, who is currently leading the team of vets working on “the next Mass Effect game,” tweeted: “Now that Veilguard reviews are over and October 31st is approaching Now, a lot of people have been asking me about Mass Effect. “A bunch of people are loving watching their characters awkwardly flirt with half the galaxy on the edge of their seats.

“Both come from studios, but Mass Effect is Mass Effect. How to bring a sci-fi RPG to life is different from other genres or IPs… and must have a different kind of love,” the developer wrote, and added in his response. One reviewer suggested comparing Veiled Defenders to Mass Effect 2, arguing that the former does have “some Mass Effect vibes.”
That said, Gamble seems keen to emphasize that he plans to work hard to ensure the two heavyweight franchises maintain their own unique identities. For example, he responded to another comment comparing Veil’s art style to Pixar movies: “I’m not sure I agree with what Pixar is doing, but Mass Effect is photorealistic and as long as I run it, it works. It will be so.”

He added that the next Mass Effect game will “maintain the mature tone of the original trilogy.” As one fan pointed out, the series has always had some humor, and in response, Gamble seemed to believe that seriousness and silliness can coexist harmoniously, suggesting that the funny stuff usually comes from “serious characters put into some humorous situations.” middle”.
