BioWare apparently has to cope with a high-profile departure. Dragon Age: The Veilguard game director Corinne Busche is apparently leaving the ship.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released last fall after years of development. Corinne Busche, who held the position of game director at BioWare, is largely responsible for the RPG epic. Now she's apparently taking her hat off there.
For 18 years, Busche worked on various titles at publisher Electronic Arts, most recently on the latest Dragon Age at BioWare. This should end in the future. The well-known insider Jeff Grubb is now reporting that Corinne Busche is leaving BioWare after relevant information previously made the rounds online.
While he could confirm Busche's departure, there was no truth to another part of the previously emerged report: BioWare's Edmonton studio would not be closed in the context of Busche's departure; According to Grubb, these speculations are obviously false.

Why does Busche take off her hat? This is not officially documented yet. According to Grubb, “the commercial performance [des Spiels] “not a direct factor in Busche's departure”.
Before becoming game director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard in 2022, Busche held various other positions at BioWare. In earlier days she also worked on EA's long-running hit The Sims.
Until December 2024, Busche had discussed ideas that could be explored in future potential Dragon Age games – but she will definitely no longer implement them herself.
