The Return of Dragon Ball
The anime Dragon Ball Daima is much more special than you think! As Dragon Ball fans look forward to Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and its vast gallery of characters offering intense battles, another project catches your attention: Dragon Ball Daima. This new anime brings back Son Goku and his companions, but this time it was them transformed into children and must do everything to lift this curse. If this new adventure already brings together many fans, it also reminds us that the creator of this universe, Akira Toriyama, is no longer with us. Although he personally oversaw the series before it ended, we will never know if Dragon Ball Daima will succeed. Luckily, the mangaka has always kept a close eye on his work. Beware of spoilers!
Shenron’s number of wishes
Dragon Ball is making a comeback with a new series called Dragon Ball Daima, which serves as both a sequel to Dragon Ball Z and a prequel to Dragon Ball Super. This project has a special significance as it is the last in which the creator of the franchise, Akira ToriyamaHe was working before his tragic death this year. The series has a humorous and adventurous tone, focusing more on gags and exploration than endless battles and training. The action takes place after the defeat of Maman Boowhere the character Gomah attempts to secure his rule over the Demon Realm by turning the heroes into children using the Dragon Balls.
“Dragon Ball Daima” also explains the abilities of Shenronthe Eternal Dragon, answers a recurring question about how many wishes he can grant. Remember, in the original Dragon Ball, Shenron only grants one wish. In Dragon Ball Z with Namek’s Dragon Balls and some other storylines, he can grant up to three wishes. However, in Episode 2 of Daima, Shenron explains to Gomah that he cannot grant just a wish since he is a new user, while regular guests can benefit from additional requests. This revelation changes our perception of previous desires and suggests that Shenron has preferences and acts subtly to help those he likes.
