That’s it ! The long-awaited moment is finally here and we can discover beautiful (and epic) gameplay for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Enough to drive fans completely crazy.
There’s definitely been a lot going on in Dragon Ball news lately. Akira Toriyama leaves behind a crowd of mourning fans, but also the ongoing projects he worked on. These include the upcoming video game Sand Land, the new anime DB Daima, but above all the highly anticipated Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, which marks the strong return of the license so popular with gamers. Bandai Namco recently turned up the pressure by revealing some new characters that will make up the game’s impressive roster. But what fans were most waiting for was to see this Budokai Tenkaichi 4 in action. Now the time has come, because the Japanese publisher has just revealed a long gameplay sequence from Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. And yes, it beats you.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero takes action
The meeting took place promptly at 3pm and Bandai Namco did not disappoint. So Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has responded with no less than 13 minutes of gameplay, highlighting the promised frantic battles, and at first glance it seems the guys weren’t lying. These new sequences also give rise to numerous fighters (with Goku and Vegeta laying in each other’s faces, otherwise it’s not funny) and other special animations between two slaps in the face and a punch in the gums, Kamé Hamé Ha and of course transformations everywhere.
As we can see in the brand new video, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will take the spirit of previous games and their key mechanics and modernize them in its own way. As before, players can expect to master a wide range of playable characters, each with their own unique abilities, transformations and techniques. On paper, the game is likely to be one of the most complete in the license, with a roster of more than 160 characters. At the moment only about forty characters have been made official and more have been added to the list:

New mechanics introduced
The game will of course offer a small amount of new features, particularly in terms of strokes, to spice up and complicate the action. There is also a new meter that is charged during battle, the “Skill Count”. It allows you to perform new counterattacks, such as the “Revenger Counter”, which allows you to take revenge by absorbing your opponents’ attacks, and the “Super Perception”, which allows you to perform counterattacks by You can anticipate multiple hits, including Ki attacks. “These new elements expand combat choices and make the game even more entertaining,” Bandai Namco promises in its presentation. Last new feature and last but not least are the “Vanishing Assaults”, which teleport your character behind his enemy in exchange for a little Ki.
There is still no release date for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. The game is expected on PS5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam later this year
