In 2012, Capcom released a true fan favorite, Dragon’s Dogma. The mystical fantasy world in combination with the fast-paced hack-and-slash combat system made for many hours of fun, and calls for a sequel quickly arose. In June 2022, after ten long years, they were finally heard and the studio officially confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is in development.

Since then it has been quiet again about the successor. Now the director of the game, Hideaki Itsuno, spoke up in a tweet. In addition to the usual congratulations on the New Year, he has a few words in his luggage that should warm the hearts of fans.
