It’s been ten years since Dragon’s Dogma was released and delighted RPG fans worldwide. As of tonight we officially know that the series will be continued with Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Capcom is finally officially working on Dragon’s Dogma 2. The developer confirmed this on the night of June 17 during a presentation celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first part. Series director Hideaki Itsuno apologized to fans for the long wait. So far there has only been a small teaser. Apart from the logo, it didn’t show anything.
Capcom is developing the game based on the RE engine, which the studio is increasingly using. Most recently in Resident Evil 8: Village and Monster Hunter Rise. The developer has not yet shared any more information. On which platforms the game should appear is just as unknown as an approximate release period.
Director Hideaki Itsuno was already responsible for Dragon’s Dogma. The title was released in 2012 and is considered one of the best action role-playing games. It owes this, among other things, to the outstanding boss fights, which allowed the players not only to fight dragons from the ground, but also to jump on them.
