The Prophete e-bikes sold in Aldi stores starting today are not completely new models. In the past, it has been offered several times, but later at a slightly higher price of 1,099 euros. From April 8 (Wednesday), Pedelec will be available at the Aldi Nord branch at a price of 999 euros. At this price, you will get a basic and reasonably configured e-city bike equipped with the following main data:

We have not been able to test the electric bicycles provided by Aldi, but the experience of other electric bicycles allows us to see some potential advantages and disadvantages of this range when looking at the data sheet. Circuit diagram: Wheel gears such as those built into Prophete bicycles have great advantages: their maintenance costs are extremely low. You don't have to clean and oil it all the time, and the interlocking of the chain links is no problem. The seven courses offered are absolutely sufficient to operate in the city.

Brake: In view of the high total weight when buying an electric bicycle, we usually recommend installing a disc brake. Only the rim brake is installed, although it is a hydraulic brake.
Comfortable feathers: The spring-loaded front fork disengages the edge from the curb, but due to the lack of a rear suspension, the impact is transmitted to the spine without filtering. The suspension seatpost as a compromise is also lost.
