Early Battlefield 2042 Adopters who have been playing since last Friday reported another thing that did not work as expected in the game. Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza, an expert who carries a shield, can-with the right settings-use it to penetrate walls.
Reddit user I_W_H_B_Y_D discovered this strange vulnerability. In the video below them, you can see it being copied to many maps. In short, this glitch allows you to walk through solid walls (including walls around elevator shafts) by lowering the graphics settings in the game.
This is not the first time that “Battlefield 2042” has encountered problems with Dozer’s shield. DICE actually completely disabled the shield within a few days, and it worked to solve different problems.
Given its very limited use, this is not the most destructive exploit. Of course, it may be helpful when you are defending at Breakthrough and want to boldly escape or pull away from unexpected flanks, but other than that, it is a bit useless.
Nonetheless, these types of errors can cause more serious problems, which is just another sign that Battlefield 2042 is currently in poor condition. Many more pressing issues have surfaced, such as random bullet deviations that make it difficult to fire continuously, crash box errors by some experts, missing scoreboards, and misleading descriptions of weapon attachments.
Battlefield 2042 has many known issues, and DICE just expanded these issues in its proximity sensor patch last night.
