“Dune 2” awaits us in November with an epic science fiction battle. We’ve only seen less of this in the previous trailers. Until now!
- Dune 2 hits theaters in November 2023.
- A trailer just released in Japan now shows us what the sequel to the sci-fi epic is supposed to be about.
- We are shown more scenes from the approaching battle, but also feel more of Chani and Paul’s love.
“Dune 2” takes us back to the desert planet Arrakis in November. This time an epic battle awaits us there, which will be so huge that we can hardly imagine it now. However, thanks to the international trailer shared by the official Dune Twitter account from Japan, we’re finally getting a better feel for them.
The video features previously unreleased footage in which we see, among other things, Paul Atreides (Timotheé Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya) preparing for the great battle against the Emperor and the Harkonnen. As we already know from the novel “The Desert Planet” by Frank Herbert, this war will be a great spectacle and much of the film’s plot revolves around this.
Dune 2: Here’s how the sequel continues
A new villain and the return of those thought dead
“Dune 2” has not yet been confirmed, but it is becoming more and more likely. Netzwelt reveals how Paul’s story continues with the Fremen in the sequel.
Paul joins forces with the desert folk of the Fremen to fight and exact revenge on those who betrayed his family and Arrakis. No wonder, then, that the battle becomes personal and extremely emotional. This is already shown by the fiery speech that Paul gives to his people before they go to war together.
“Dune 2” will start in German cinemas on November 2, 2023.
