The day after Opening Night Live (the opening ceremony of Gamescom), Tencent meets us! On August 21, 2024 at 7 p.m., the Chinese giant will host a new edition of its Showcase with infinite levela conference that will provide more information about the games published by Level Infinite, the company’s international publishing brand. Believe us, even though China seems far away, Tencent is actually hiding behind many anticipated titles ! A pretty solid catalogue
For example, did you know that Tencent is releasing Assassin’s Creed Jade (the mobile version of the famous Ubisoft license) or Dune Awakening, the highly anticipated MMO from the Funcom studio that the company bought four years ago? In addition, the Dunes of Arrakis could make an appearance during the Level Infinite Showcase. A few days ago, the Chinese giant shared a picture of the games presented on the Gamescom show floor (found below) and the 100% multiplayer title set in the world of Frank Herbert appears clearly! We can also see Death Sprint 66, a racing game in which humanoids replace traditional motorized vehicles, or even Exoborne, an extraction shooter from the makers of Vampire The Masquerade Bloodhunt.
Exoborne, a promising game
In fact, a few weeks ago we flew to Sweden to visit Sharkmob, the studio developing Exoborne. We came away completely convinced ! So it’s an extraction shooter, but much less punishing than titles like Escape From Tarkov… Here, players are equipped with exo-skeletons that allow them to make a charged jump, sprint at full speed, and even jump with a grappling hook.
