Dune: Spice Wars is now also included in Microsoft’s PC Game Pass at no additional cost – and that’s something to celebrate, of course. This is one of the reasons why there is a fresh content update for the 4X real-time strategy game with “Air & Sand”.
Developer Shiro Games continues to work diligently on the 4X real-time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars and once again gives the desert planet Arrakis new content. With “Air & Sand”, the third major Early Access update was released today – in line with the accompanying start in PC Game Pass. The multiplayer mode and the Imperial House of Corrino had previously been added.
This time there are numerous improvements in almost all aspects of the game, but at the same time a whole new dimension of combat is added with flying units, which offer new strategies on the battlefield.
Desert power is balanced with air power, with new ship and frigate units able to travel the map without fear of sandworms. While combat dynamics will receive the most extensive changes, they are not the only improvements and new content in the game. Espionage missions, political resolutions and new Spacing Guild mechanics also find their way into the title.
In terms of balancing, there are also various adjustments and quests have been revised. Improved user interface and multiplayer chat system and added new villages and sietches.
