The real-time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars was recently launched in Early Access and celebrated its first successes. The creators now want to build on this with regular new content.
Despite the Early Access release, Dune: Spice Wars, a mix of 4X and real-time strategy, still has a long way to go. Even if this early version of the game was well received by gamers, the makers naturally want to follow up and noticeably expand the scope of the game up to the final version.
This will happen gradually in the further course of Early Access – and how it should go forward is evident from the roadmap that has now been published. Shiro Games will therefore also accommodate large features such as a multiplayer mode in Early Access. There will also be a new faction and hero units, for example. And: With every update there should be more and more improvements.
The mentioned multiplayer, which should follow in the summer of 2022, enjoys the highest priority. The new faction should also be published around this time window; What this is about is yet to be announced. Other planned features include legendary characters from Dune, who will follow as advisers and controllable heroic units. The “Air & Sand” update is intended to enable deeper warfare and introduce new tactical elements.
