What you should know about Dune early access
When does it start where? Dune: Spice Wars will enter Early Access on April 26th on Steam.
Of course, in Early Access you cannot expect to be served all the content of the finished game. We do not have precise information on the scope, but the FAQ on the Steam product page promises regular updates, which should also deliver game modes such as the campaign and multiplayer.
So you have to expect to only be able to fight in single battles at the start of Early Access. In essence, however, the gaming experience should already be offered as the developers imagine it. In the course of this phase, the game should also change a lot, which of course also includes the game balance.
What does that mean for the final release? Early access is currently designed for nine to twelve months. If you take a look at the calendar, a release in 2022 could be tight. It remains to be seen whether Shiro Games will comment on this in the coming weeks.

What are the Fremen capable of?
Book and film connoisseurs will of course shrug their shoulders at the name of the faction and therefore have a rough idea of what makes the Fremen a playable faction.
But newcomers should also keep this nation on their toes. Not only can they cover greater distances through the hostile desert than other factions, but they are also more difficult to detect by the iconic sandworms. Their bond with the planet also makes it easier for them to form alliances with neutral settlements.

Real fans at work
Dune: Spice Wars has been in the upper ranks of the Steam Wishlist since it was unveiled at the Game Awards 2021 and currently has almost 39,000 followers in 27th place.
A lot of fans of the template should also work for the developer Shiro Games himself, if CEO Sebastien Vidal has his way:
With so many huge Dune fans here in the studio, the excitement of working with this universe is very real every working day, and we hope the game reflects that. With all the passion for the source material and all the know-how we’ve gathered developing Northgard, we can’t wait to get this game into the hands of players.
Another playable faction besides the Fremen are the Smugglers, who rely primarily on espionage and deception. Micha definitely doesn’t want to deceive you, who is obviously happy about Dune: Spice Wars and still thinks the location is the perfect strategy setting.
