Dying Light 2 comes to Europey only cut

Cut, Dying, Europey, Light

As one of the few current titles, Dying Light 2 is unlikely to appear as an uncut original version for the Europe market. According to the developer, Techland is responsible for the game despite numerous attempts and exhausting all legal means available to the company did not receive the necessary classification by the USK test center.

Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4, 2022 and will primarily rely on the strengths of its predecessor without daring to major innovations. An interview with the developers shows why this can benefit the game:

What should change in the Europe version?

Techland is therefore forced to create a special one customized version of Dying Light 2 only to be released for the Europe market.

This Europe version will only in digital form appear and as USK 18 get ranked. In contrast to the original, players can neither kill neutral NPCs nor decapitate or dismember human opponents.

In addition, Europe players are initially only allowed to use the co-op mode with players from their own region. However, the developers want to have this restriction lifted as soon as possible.

According to the developers, the changes in the cut version should not include the story, the game progress or the basic gameplay affect. Techland nevertheless wants to submit further versions of the game to the USK, in the hope that the final Europe version will differ even less from the uncut game. The Europe players should also experience the game in this way, as the developers imagined.

The fact that the story of the game does not have to be changed is good news for all players, because this turned out to be a hidden highlight when playing Dying Light 2:
