Since the release of Dying Light 2 about a month ago, Techland has by no means been lazy, but has been busy optimizing it. The result is now a new PC patch with numerous improvements.
The developer studio has now announced that the patch to version 1.2 is now available for the PC version of Dying Light 2: Stay Human. This focuses on fixing issues reported by players to the creators.
Detached from this, you can also expect improvements on the technical side and in gameplay. For example, the makers have taken up the ragdoll mechanics, but also glitches in the course of the story, so-called “death loops” and also several co-op problems. The following areas are addressed in one way or another in the update:

- Nightrunner-Tools
- Improvements in the combat system
- Ragdoll behavior
- night balancing
- UI / UX

- “Brutality Pack” for more immersive details in melee combat
Techland has also published an overview of the most important fixes in the update in this context, which of course we don’t want to withhold from you:
- Fixed all reported cases of “death loops”.
- Verschiedene Blockaden in mehreren Quests behoben, z. B. bei Into The Dark, Assassination, Sophie in The Raid Quest, Hubert in The Only Way Out, Veronika, Nightrunners, The Lost Light, Double Time
- Fixed stability issues: crashes or black screens in certain situations (co-op mode)
- Increased difficulty at hunt level 4
- Increased sensory range of Howlers
- Survival Sense now works properly and can be triggered with no cooldown when the player is hit or performs certain parkour moves
- Improvements in the options menu including a tab for accessibility
- Fixed an issue that resulted in enemies not reacting correctly to other players and not changing their behavior, which could lead to various glitches in co-op
- Banshees and Chargers are now easier to spot in groups of infected during the night
- New powerful graphics optimization preset to play Dying Light 2 on older computers and laptops
- PC DX12 cache related improvements that make for a smoother initial launch of the game
- AVX technology is no longer used in the game, which fixes issues related to a game crashing on launch
The full list of adjustments in Patch 1.2 is available on Steam. The patch can not only be downloaded from Steam, but also from the Epic Games Store for the PC version. Console players will have to wait a few more days, but should also be supplied in a timely manner.
Dying Light 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
