Due to the continued spread of coronavirus, E3 will not be held this year.
According to a report from Ars Technica, the cancellation will be officially announced at 9:30 AM Los Angeles time.
The organizer of the show, ESA, has sent a note to members of the American Entertainment Software Association stating that it may host an online event in the summer.
Devolver Digital, one of the few companies working on E3 2020, has hinted that the show will be cancelled late at night.

After publishers and media have expressed lack of support for this year's event, E3 2020 is already suspect. General media partner Geoff Keighley announced that Sony PlayStation has once again decided to stay away from the show and he will not work with ESA. Last week, retail and production partner iam8bit also withdrew from the market.
The cancellation of E3 2020 was due to the delay of GDC and other activities including EVE Fanfest and Taipei Game Show.
California's recent announcement of a state of emergency has exacerbated ESA issues.
