It seems that the organizers of E3 2020 will not host major online events.
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) will replace exhibitors' online E3 2020 large-scale events to replace the cancellation of live broadcasts, but will cooperate with exhibitors to promote personal announcements.
According to the official statement given to PC Gamer by ESA.
In view of the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not show the online E3 2020 event in June. Instead, we will collaborate with exhibitors in the next few months to promote and display the announcements of various companies, including on www.E3expo.com. We look forward to bringing our industry and community together in 2021 to showcase the reimagined E3, which will focus on introducing new products and attracting audiences.
It has not yet been announced which companies the ESA will work with for a single digital meeting.
It was initially shown that the organizers said that online events will be held in the summer.
Microsoft, Ubisoft, Nintendo and Devolver Digital all said that in the next few months, the upcoming news will be shared digitally.
On the weekend, ESA announced to partners the next annual exhibition, which will be held from June 15 to 17. Like E3 in 2020, organizers are also conducting a "reimagined" exhibition for 2021.
