Now, before you shake out your wallet to dump pennies, an old button, and an expired deposit coupon on the table, we’re sorry to disappoint you – FIFA 23 was only available for purchase for a measly 6 cents for a very, very short time window. But a few lucky guys in India took the chance and shot the bargain of the year with the new FIFA 23.
Even EA Sports humorously admits the own goal – and reacts sportily to the shop error.
FIFA 23 for 6 cents? what happened there?
Apparently, there was a technical error in the Epic Store that briefly resulted in FIFA 23 being offered at a ridiculously low price: 5 Indian rupees, which is about 6 cents. So people could shoot a triple-A product for the price of a Steam trading card, which normally costs 70 dollars in the cheapest variant. Can you do it.
EA reacts in a sporty way
EA and Epic were of course quick to spot and fix the shop bug, but a few lucky ones had already grabbed it… and got to keep their game too. The team at EA Sports has a tongue-in-cheek message for everyone concerned

Hi, A few weeks ago we scored a pretty spectacular own goal and accidentally offered FIFA 23 at an incorrect pre-order price on the Epic Games Store. The fault here is clearly ours – and we honor any purchases made at this discounted price.
It would probably have been difficult contractually anyway to declare the purchases invalid, but hey: still a nice gesture on the part of EA, because the lucky ones can then start gambling with peace of mind. FIFA 23 By the way, it will be released on September 26, 2022 – you will find all important innovations in our overview of FIFA 23.
Have you ever had a similar stroke of luck? Got a super cheap game because of a bug? We are not. Unfortunately.
