You know this happens about 20 times a year now. Yes, Max Verstappen won a race. Well, EA Sports F1 24 will simulate that dominance in a more realistic way than the series ever could – letting you hear Max’s real voice conveying how bored he was with the success on the air after crossing the finish line.
As part of a hands-off preview, we also got a look at the operational changes to the game’s features and got an overview of its completely revamped career mode, and we also got a look at some of the more general updates to drivers, tracks, and teams. The biggest one? Added radio narration from actual drivers on today’s F1 circuits.

During the preview, Codemasters’ senior creative director Lee Mather outlined the realistic driver voices that will let you speak in the voices of racers like Verstappen, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton as you play as their characters during the race. One that we’ve been working on creatively for a while.
“We started talking to Formula 1 a few years ago and [there] For a long time, this was an opportunity for us to do that,” Mather explained, “but we didn’t really feel it. [fit] With what we did with the title. It didn’t really gel and make sense, but once we opened up the opportunity to race as real Formula 1 drivers [in Career Mode], makes that dubbing totally make sense. ”
“So, the Formula 1 staff have access to footage for many years,” continued Mather. “Thankfully we’ve only had them scour the previous year’s footage for us at the moment, but they’re constantly going back and forth. , so we’re going to get all the footage and dubbing of those key moments.”
Of course, one of the moments you’re most likely to hear this voiceover is when you cross the finish line for victory or step onto the podium – and if it’s at a venue like Monaco, you might even get a dedicated quote or two It’s lovely that Lines has achieved such results in such an iconic venue. Or take this year’s real-life Verastappen, it sounds like you’re as passionate about winning now as most people are just eating spam for the rest of their natural lives.
Track-wise, Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps have both received significant makeovers this year, which you can get a glimpse of in the gameplay video above, while Losail and Jeddah have received some visual updates to ensure They look like the real-world tracks of the same name. The driver and car have apparently received some rendering improvements as well.
While the game will only include the 2023 version of the F2 grid at launch, it will get the 2024 version of the feeder series lineup at some point via a post-launch update, something that has become the norm over the past few years or so.
Oh, and there’s also a feature called “Fan Zone” where you can pick a favorite rider, see your fellow riders chilling with them in a weird little hangout area, and compete with fans of other riders to Record the greatest progress across the entire track. The game as a whole. Stand up, Logan Sargent gang, we’ll taste sweet victory, even if we don’t know what a mile is.
EA Sports F1 24 will be released on May 31 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
