From today (June 6), if you log into EA Sports FC 24, you’ll be able to experience a host of new content themed around this year’s big international tournament – Euro 2024.
Yes, stop complaining about your teammates not performing well at professional clubs, it’s time to take up the mantle of finally bringing the trophy back home, wherever your hometown is – well, if it happens to be in Europe, otherwise you have to pick a bandwagon to jump on. As detailed in EA’s press release about the update, you can get involved in the game’s Euro 2024 celebrations in a number of ways. Firstly, there’s the Lead Your Country mode, which lets you take on the role of an in-game tournament character (either real-world or created) and lead your nation to victory. You can also complete training drills, earning PlayStyles in the process, ensuring some in-game progress.
The Euros can also be played via a traditional single-player tournament mode, where players can control an entire team, whether it’s one of the 24 qualified nations, or another European nation in the game. There’s also the same Kick-off mode, which will have a regularly updated “daily match” schedule to “reflect real tournament matchups.” For those who prefer to play against others, Euros matchups in online friendly matches are the way to go.

For Ultimate Team fans, there will be a plethora of player items designed to “celebrate those players ready to lead their country on the road to glory, the emerging stars of the group stage, the greats who shone in past tournaments, and the best players throughout the month”.
Oh, and there’s also a European Tour Challenge, with prizes to be announced after the tournament in July.
