As with all major sporting events, Electronic Arts tries to predict the outcome of its own games using simulations – this time also the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.
The European Football Championship has been underway in Germany since Friday – and the local national team got off to a perfect start with a 5:1 win against Scotland. Shortly before the start of the tournament on Friday, EA Sports once again presented its usual prediction via simulation and tried to predict the winner in this way.
Such simulations initially became known primarily in Madden NFL, when EA was able to predict the winners of various Super Bowls with surprisingly high accuracy using simulations in its own football title. Can this now be achieved again with the prediction via EA Sports FC 24?
As is well known, there is also an official UEFA Euro update for the current football title, thanks to which you can replay the European Football Championship on the console. The simulation has now been carried out in this special European Championship mode.
Good news for German fans: In the simulation, the German national team actually made it to the final in Berlin. Less good news: Unfortunately, they then lost there in a duel with another heavyweight. According to the simulation in EA Sports FC 24, England took home the title – 58 years since their last international success in Wembley, London. The final in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium was a real thriller in the simulation, with Harry Kane from FC Bayern Munich scoring the 2-1 winning goal for the English team just before the end. Will EA be right again this time?
