There are a lot of real people in EA Sports FC 25, the vast majority of whom play football for a living, have played football for a living, or are paid to tell other people how to play football. However, there’s a group of brothers in this year’s competition who don’t fit into one of those categories.

To be clear, one of them, QPR defender Morgan Fox, certainly is. He is a 68 total goals player and you can add him to your lineup if you want someone with 60 pace and 69 defense (not bad) to challenge opposing forwards. This is just his sibling that you won’t find in any pack.

Oli Fox, a member of British indie band Good Neighbors, revealed in an interview with the BBC that working on the soundtrack for FC 25 means he will be joining his brother Morgan in the game for the first time, which is pretty cool.

“[Morgan’s] “Having been playing this game for a while, it’s been really frustrating for me,” Fox said. “Literally, since we were kids, we’ve been playing this game together in a horrible rivalry, and then Just dropped about 10 years ago. We may exist in the same game.

“Our parents would be so proud of us in the end, all those nights wasted playing FIFA in our childhood and when we finally finished we got great news from our mum and dad saying how proud they were.”

In the same article, the BBC also spoke with EA Music President Steve Schnur about the current process for deciding which artists end up on the EA FC soundtrack (as is the case with Good Neighbors). Revealing that “thousands and thousands of songs” were reviewed in the studio, Schnur said, “In the beginning, I was flying around like a maniac, looking for the next big thing. Now, humbly, everyone wants to Join EA FC so people come to us.”

The executive added that he “can’t always” make decisions based on “who we like or who we have a history with,” although the songs chosen do have to “fit the tone.” “Ultimately,” Schnur said, “my bosses are the players, the people who buy copies of the games, sometimes with their parents’ money.”
