Golf fans eagerly awaiting the new EA Sports PGA Tour must continue to be patient. EA has now postponed the title by a whopping year.
The release of the golf hopeful EA Sports PGA Tour is currently not under a good star. The title announced at the end of March 2021 was actually supposed to be released in spring 2022, but we have been waiting for a specific release date until today – with good reason. The game doesn’t seem anywhere near ready to be released just yet. That’s why the makers have now pulled the ripcord, so to speak.
Publisher EA confirmed on Tuesday that the release of the game will be noticeably delayed. The comeback of the professional golf simulation is now scheduled to take place a whole year later in spring 2023; a more concrete date was therefore naturally still not given.
Far from the release postponement, however, the publisher did not provide any concrete statements on the background. What exactly is wrong is therefore not known.
The assumption is that EA Sports PGA Tour will appear before or at the latest for the Master Tournament 2023 in order to take advantage of the interest in golf at the event. Finally, the Augusta National Golf Club appears in a video game for the first time since 2013. The Masters traditionally takes place in the first full week of April each year.
