EA Sports PGA Tour hasn’t been available that long, but there is already an extensive update to the new game version 2.0 with numerous improvements.
EA Sports PGA Tour was released on April 7, 2023 and has been making the hearts of golf fans beat faster ever since. Since then, however, the development team has not been lazy, but has evaluated the feedback from the community. This in turn has now resulted in a comprehensive update to game version 2.0.
The patch that has now been released brings you numerous improvements. These include, for example, quick presentation settings, green grid changes, bug fixes, UI updates and more. Previous PC problems should also be a thing of the past and there is new content.
Also the 3-click swing is now included in the game. It’s a gameplay mechanic that the creators say was always part of the development plan – and now the mechanic is actually here, giving you an alternative method of control.
The changes in version 2.0 at a glance:
- Implementation of the 3-click swing.
- New presentation settings:
- Fast Play: Automatically skips player reactions and path to putt for faster presentation
- Putt Gauge: Shows/hides the putt gauge.
- Key Hints: Hides the hints at the bottom of the screen during gameplay
- Green Grid Improvements: To improve ball visibility and respond to player feedback, the Green Grid now quickly fades out after the shot.
- Improved precision on the Green Grid to help the ball roll more accurately on the green (including Augusta’s 16th hole).
- Added PC mouse support.
- Camera Fixes: For unplayable lay animations when the camera was not in view of the ball.
- New Hole Size: Holes are now sized to match the 1:1 physics model and the ball no longer rolls past when it should have landed in the hole.
- Players now receive regular updates via a unified messaging system via the content area of the main menu.
- Added a shot type screen to the pause menu explaining all shot types.
- Added store content such as hats, shoes, drivers and more.
- Added an explanatory graphic for shot types to the pause menu.
- Fixed online issues: Leaving the event info screen while a countdown is in progress loads players onto the wrong course in the next match.
