EA apparently won the third "Star Wars" title in the work, and like the previous Orca and Ragtag projects, the game was cancelled.
Cancelled according to Kotaku's report Star wars The game, code-named Viking, is a spin-off of Star Wars: The Frontline and can be released in time with the next generation of consoles.
When the Ragtag project is cancelled and its studio, Visceral Games, is closed, the assets in the cancelled game will be used by EA Vancouver to develop new games. The well-known Orca project also encountered chops last year.
EA Vancouver has apparently taken third place to the cancelled champion, Viking, whose development will be led by Criterion Games. The Kotaku report states that the game is a byproduct of Battlefield, with an open world element and a focus on characters and stories. According to a source on the site, the project's problems started almost immediately because Criterion is based in the UK and EA Vancouver is in Canda. In addition, it is said that there are "too many chefs" in the pot.
Due to these issues, the game may not be ready for release with PS5 and Xbox Series X, so EA cancelled the project in the first half of 2019.
In further content of the report, it also hints at a sequel to Respawn Jedi Fallen Order in development. After the to-do list showed that anyone filling the post would be playing the Star Wars game, it was thought to be making a sequel back in December. May be another name for "Star Wars", but now suppose it is a sequel.
The report also states that EA Motive will continue its title in this series of games, albeit on a smaller scale.
As early as January, a report surfaced stating that a new Star Wars game would be released in 2021 and somehow combined with the next movie scheduled for 2022. It is said to be known under the code name Luminous, and it will be revealed this year, which is said to have occurred 400 years before the Legend of Skywalker, the "High Republic" period. It is unclear whether the game is a core or mobile game, and no text was provided to develop the game studio.
