If you were already looking forward to extensive shooting orgies in spring 2024, we have to put a little damper on you. Because Earth Defense Force 6 will not be able to meet the targeted release date and will be pushed back a bit.
Earth Defense Force 6 was originally scheduled to appear on the PC and PlayStation 5 in this country sometime in spring 2024. After things have been very quiet about the action title in the last few weeks, some of you may have already suspected: It won’t work.
As publisher D3PUBLISHER and the development studio SANDLOT have now announced, the release of the title will be postponed for some time. The studios still don’t have an exact date up their sleeve; now there is only talk of a planned release in summer 2024.

The two studios save themselves an explanation. Ultimately, however, the ever-popular polishing may be responsible for the fact that humanity has to wait a little longer until the Earth Defense Force arrives.
In the sixth part of the popular stump shooting action, you can also look forward to the return of the Ranger, Air Raider, Wing Diver and Fencer classes as well as a whole range of new content. In addition, the developers are of course once again placing a strong focus on co-op gameplay.
The official description states: “The year is 2024 AD. Humanity has won the long battle against the unknown invaders. The enemy Primers are now gone and peace has returned to Mother Earth. However, the population is at 10 % shrunk and the world was on the brink of collapse. The survivors fought the remaining threats and did their best to continue their recovery.”
