The Echo Show also showed your photos beforehand – but not without annoying Alexa tips and other displays. This is how you now turn your Echo Show into a pure picture frame.

- The Echo Show 15’s photo framing feature is now usable on other devices in the series.
- With Alexa, you can easily stop the random pop-ups of Alexa tips and more.
- The command works for three hours, after which the overlays turn on again.
Amazon has also brought the picture frame function of the Echo Show 15 to the other models in the smart speaker series with a display – and so they are finally halfway suitable for room decoration.
While viewing your own pictures on Echo Show devices was possible before, it was constantly interrupted by extremely random and rarely valuable Alexa tips and other intrusive suggestions for interacting with the smart display.
This now changes fundamentally when you issue the magical command “Alexa, start picture frame”. In this way, all text blocks disappear from the screen of your Echo Show except for the date stamp of the displayed image.
However, this pleasant deco mode does not last forever: After three hours, the smart assistant in your Echo Show wakes up from its slumber and makes you suggestions again on the screen. Another utterance of the magic formula then sends Alexa back to sleep quickly.
